Tip of the Month
September 2009
If you skipped Vista and you're glad you did, you may wonder if you should skip Windows 7 too. Stay with what you have if it fits your needs knowing that if 7 catches on the way Vista did not, new software and hardware makers may someday stop making their products compatible with XP. But XP is 10 years old and that is eons in computer time and 7 has some pluses. Among them is that It is testing as more secure and MS says that wi-fi networks work faster and better than on XP.

Introduction to the LO Computer Learning Center
The Computer Learning Center is part of the Adult Community Center, located at 505 G Avenue in Lake Oswego. The ACC and the Computer Learning Center are under the umbrella of the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation department. Unlike other Parks and Rec programs, however, the Adult Community Center programs and services are available only to members of our community who have reached the age of 50. This web page covers the Computer Learning Center. See the menu on the left for links to the City of LO, the LO Library, the Parks & Recreation Department, and the Adult Community Center.
