One of the new features in Lion is the ability of applications to resume activity at the point an application was quit. This is useful but it means when reopening, all documents you were editing will display. If there are times you may not want confidential documents automatically opened, you can turn off this feature through the "General" section of "System Preferences" and unchecking the box "Restore Windows when quitting and reopening apps". There is apparently no easy option to do this app by app.
PC
Your broadband modem's connection to the Internet will occasionally become unreliable, and restarting it can fix that. Same goes for the connection between a router and a broadband modem as well. To reset your broadband modem and router, disconnect their power cables, and leave the modem and router off for 30 seconds or so. Next, connect the modem's power cable to restore its power first. Wait a few moments for the modem to renegotiate its connection to the Web and establish a link, and then restore power to the router. Note the order of reconnect: modem first then router.
