Tip of the Month
June 2009

Microsoft and Apple will be relying more on graphics chips to speed up certain tasks. But a better graphics chip isn't a substitute for more main memory if you're looking to boost performance.  Having plenty of main memory is directly related to getting the most out of such chips.

(Remember, you can always find old tips in the Tips archive. (see link at the bottom right of this yellow box.)

Introduction to the LO Computer Learning Center

The Computer Learning Center is part of the Adult Community Center, located at 505 G Avenue in Lake Oswego. The ACC and the Computer Learning Center are under the umbrella of the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation department. Unlike other Parks and Rec programs, however, the Adult Community Center programs and services are available only to members of our community who have reached the age of 50. This web page covers the Computer Learning Center. See the menu on the left for links to the City of LO, the LO Library, the Parks & Recreation Department, and the Adult Community Center.
